Arguably one the most underrated colors in anyone's wardrobe, brown, is having a moment this fall and winter. However, brown is not only a trendy color for this fall/winter, but also a color that is a lifelong classic. Buy a nice blazer, boot or leather pant in this color and you can wear it for years and years to come. This is a trend that is not going to go anywhere, ever. Below are five different ways to incorporate this color into your wardrobe.
LEATHER
Brown leather. The ultimate classic. A nice pair of long brown leather boots, booties, a purse, or pants will be a closet staple for years. Brown leather boots or purses will never go out of style in your closet. To make this classic color palette a bit more exciting, try experimenting with embossed brown crocodile leather. This will add shine and texture to your closet. Leather pants have been a huge trend this season, and brown leather pants are the perfect way to wear this trend with versatility. Coming in a variety of cuts and shades, this pant can be paired with a cream sweater to be worn all fall/winter long.
Plaid
Perhaps nothing is more autumnal than a classic brown plaid pattern. This color pattern can be worn in a variety of ways, however, my personal favorite is on a blazer or shacket. A brown plaid or houndstooth blazer can be worn to the office or internship, but also dressed up for dinner. A brown plaid shacket is the perfect overcoat for colder weather days or football games. Pair this with jeans and boots and you are perfectly on trend. Another great way to wear this trend is a plaid skirt or trouser, either way, you will be perfectly dressed for fall/winter.
Suede
The ‘70s clothing trend has been in for a while now and it is not planning on going anywhere. Nothing screams the 1970s more than brown suede. Whether this retro staple is on a jacket or a purse, you will be wearing two major trends at once.
Knit
What is more fall/winter than a knit dress or sweater? Nothing. Brown knit dresses are perfect to wear this season because of their versatility. Pair them with long leather boots and you have a perfect outfit for any occasion.
Teddy
The teddy coat has been in style for a few years now, and it does not look like it is going anywhere. Brown teddy coats are a perfect way to give an outfit some texture and warmth. Pair them over jeans or a dress and you are good to go.
With a million different ways to wear this classic, staple color, brown is not going to be going out of style anytime soon. This color will take us from fall/winter for years to come.
