8 easy costumes for this spooky season

Halloween is at the end of the week and maybe you don’t quite have a costume yet. No worries, you have come to the right place. Here are eight costume ideas for you and your friends that are sure to slay Halloween.

Time to Float: A somewhat extravagant costume is Pennywise, the killer clown from the 80s. Watch a few makeup tutorials and pick up a white dress from your local thrift shop. Don’t forget to grab a red balloon and practice your best creepy smile. Hey There Trick or Treaters: Blair and Serena from Gossip Girl are easily one of the most iconic duos, and dressing up as them is pretty simple, especially if you still have your private school uniform. Skirt and white button up shirt for both of you, one wears a headband and the other wears a tie. You know you love them, xoxo.

Here We Go Again: Donna and the Dynamos from Mamma Mia is the perfect costume for the group of three that wants to dress in 70s fashion, but not just be seen as a flower child. Grab your mics and start practicing your poses now!

There’s No Season like Spooky Season: The Wizard of Oz is a classic, and it's also easy to recreate with three of your closest friends. All you need are cat ears, a silver metallic skirt, a flannel and, of course, ruby red slippers.

Those Meddling Kids: Mystery Inc. is another easy costume considering the Scooby Doo crew has been wearing the same outfits every episode since the 60s.

Incorporate the colors, purple, orange, blue, green, and brown and the five of you are all set.

Once Upon a Halloween: The original six Disney princesses is a costume that you can put your own twist on. Mugshot and hipster princesses have been popular upcycles on the original ball gown idea. Whatever you do, make sure Snow White, Aurora, Cinderella, Ariel, Belle and Jasmine approve.

7 Deadly Sins: Pride, gluttony, lust, wrath, envy, greed and sloth are the notorious deadly sins we have all heard about. This costume is another one you can change up in your own way. How do you think wrath would dress? Maybe envy would wear green, and pride loves to wear tiaras? The possibilities are endless.

It’s Britney Witch: Britney Spears is still relevant today because of her many costume changes through the years. This is a costume where you can have anywhere from two people to ten. Pick your favorite Britney era, and rock it this Halloween.

Whichever character you choose to embody for the night, remember to stay spooky and stay safe. Happy Halloween!
